Well, before I begin, my expression of unconceivable gratitude towards Laura Lasky, let me say how absolutely thrilling she is to me. She lights up my day when I get the chance to see her, and her enthusiasm and sense of humor make every minute of an acting workshop a load of enjoyment. This lady has taught me how to act. By that I mean she's enlightened me on how to use myself as the key to acting.

Novel and artistic, Laura spreads her philosophy of "Quit Acting" to all she encounters, for the secret in being a successful actor is to NOT ACT. A questionable philosophy, yes, but Laura makes it work. She reaches out and helps you understand the underlying secrets of a script. This lady is a miracle worker, for just being with her for one three hour day, I learned how to cry on cue... and I've never not been able to since. Her improvisation games keep you on your toes, and her branches of intelligence help you understand her reasoning.

Now the best part: Laura listens. If you are having trouble, she suggests her interpretation of the character, and then asks you what you think. If you disagree with her belief, she alters her opinion to form yours, and approaches it from a different point of view. She makes YOU interpret the meaning of the lines, which at first seems hard and pointless, but really, its what gets you the role. She's an expert at analyzing and tearing apart the underlying meanings and lessons the character and script have to teach.

She holds your hand while letting you walk along a mile high brick wall called your imagination. Laura Lasky is truly a one of a kind, brilliant, personable, loving, playful, straightforward, spontaneous lady who took me to places I never thought I could reach. Thank you Laura.

Working with Laura has been an amazing experience for my daughter. Laura knows how to individualize her teachings to the student. She doesn't use a 'one size fits all' approach like other coaches we had tried. This has been amazingly beneficial for my daughter and her bookings have increased dramatically since working with her. She went from booking 3 jobs in 12 months to 10 jobs in 9 months.

She has a great way with actors helping them understand character development, versus just learning the lines and basic actions. It's nice to know my child is not just a number seen for 5 minutes once a week.

The lessons I have learned in the Quit Acting classes have been absolutely priceless. I want to thank you Laura for helping me to become comfortable with myself, and expressing myself honestly on camera. The techniques you have taught me have not only helped me professionally in my career, but have enabled me to feel confident about who I am as a person.

Kaleigh is eight years old and has been acting for about six months. Before we started working with Laura we had the occasional callback and no bookings. We started with Laura about a month ago and Kaleigh has had callbacks on EVERY commercial audition she has gone to and has booked two!

Kaleigh also booked her first feature film (American Carol) and her first episodic (Cold Case) after being coached by Laura. Wow, what a month.

Laura knows how to work well with children to draw out their confidence and inner strengths. I would recommend her as a commercial or theatrical coach to any aspiring actor€.

After enjoying a fairly busy first five years in the business, my son Jarrod experienced what seemed to be a never ending booking slump. Knowing that his look hadn't changed too much and he didn't look too old yet, we were at odds as to what to do to jumpstart his career. Well thankfully, powers that be provided us with Laura at just the right time. For the first time, Jarrod experienced a connection with a coach that genuinely inspired him to think outside of the box, see things in a different light and understand acting concepts that he hadn't thought about before. She was able to provide him with the tools he needed to dig deeper within himself to find inner hidden abilities which put him back on the path toward success. She took a sincere interest in his well being and was generous to a fault with her time, support and enthusiasm.

His confidence was reenergized and his attitude became much more positive. He knew that someone other than his Mom was truly there for him and ready to guide him every step of the way.

After a couple of months, Jarrod became much more self-sufficient with how to approach a character, interpret his scenes and give his strongest auditions ever, several of which have led to wonderful recent bookings. Thank you Laura for all your amazing energy, helpful insights and genuine inner beauty. You've made such a difference in all the right ways!

My daughter's dream was to be an actor and a good friend led us to Laura Lasky for acting classes. She was gracious enough to let me sit in on the classes and I found what she had to say and teach to be fascinating. She taught the kids how to break down a scene, do cold readings, give a personal back story and gain self confidence. She was able to impart to these young children an understanding of acting that was quite remarkable.

Laura has given Jennette a solid foundation that has enabled her to master her auditions, including the most challenging ones, with simply her script and the truth and honesty of the role. Thanks to Laura's teachings, Jennette has learned how to "Quit Acting" because acting isn't really acting at all, but rather finding within your soul a place where the part you are performing is real. You have to play the part with a truth and honesty that you find within yourself. To be believed you must find that zone where this non-reality is reality, but then you must snap immediately out of the role as quickly as you arrive upon it. Laura also taught that team work is necessary, how to be a generous actor, and to appreciate your team of agents, managers, etc. I saw her transform mere children into accomplished actors and many of her students, like Jennette, have gone on to exhibit the understanding she taught.

Laura Exhibits an uncanny ability to relate to children on their age level. She has created a fun and enthusiastic teaching environment that has helped my six year old to become one with her characters! Since we began seeing Laura, my daughter's callback and booking rates and bookings rates have increased twofold!

Laura Lasky is so wonderful with young actors, unlike many acting coaches who expect children to learn adult techniques or expect them to conform to a specific style. She is really about giving the technical tools for acting while promoting their individuality that allows each student to shine. I know when Laura works with one of my clients they always audition real.

Thanks Laura! I wanted to contact you and let you know that Lexi has had an amazing streak since she saw you last. She did not get that particular booking but she got the next 5 and a callback. She filmed 3 student films, completed a play, Voices, had a callback for a commercial and now she begins Mulan. We are so grateful for all the work that you put in with Lexi. We all believe that she gained so much confidence with you. We look forward to the future and hope we have a need to see you soon.

Laura is an amazing coach, and her techniques not only help the child actor, but the parent as well. Both my son and I are learning so much from her classes about keeping the scene honest, and not pushing. She was able to pinpoint very quickly what was holding him back during his auditions, and now my son is learning to trust himself ...and we both are learning to trust his instincts which is also allowing me MOM to help him more affectively. I've seen a huge difference in his auditioning in just a short time of training with her. She is the real deal, and she sincerely cares about the child's success! I wish we had met her earlier. Thank you Laura.

Laura is an amazing acting coach who personalizes her approach depending on the learning style of her clients. She has worked with my daughter (Actor, 13 years old) for a while now and I have seen a huge improvement in her acting ability and her memorization skills for scenes and scripts. Laura is nice, energetic, personable, and really trustworthy and reliable. My daughter absolutely loves her! I would recommend her to anyone who needs a great acting coach!!

It is with great honor that I recommend Laura Lasky for not just the THREE attributes of being personable, creative with high integrity, but for also providing great value as an expert in her field proving great results time and again. She is, by far, the most unique find an actor (or parent of an actor) can find. We are truly blessed to have her personal touch and guidance for our family. She offers more than what meets the eye. No matter what challenge you may face personally and/or professionally, she has a knack for breaking down those walls while still acknowledging your sensitivities. She gently reassures you while at the same time pushes you to become better. Even if our kids were not in the Entertainment Industry, we would still find incredible value in her work. She is a resource that many parents would cherish solely for the reason that she guides kids to be empowered to see their true gift and potential. She is a creative force that thinks for an angle not yet ventured. Be prepared to be amazed!
